CUADRO "EL PILLAN"

"Los
espíritus buenos se encharcan sobre el río que se ha teñido de dolor.
El Kultrún ha cambiado sus estaciones, sin embargo los bosques y el sol
todavía les pertenecen."
En
este cuadro se observa el Kultrún mapuche, desplazado en su contenido,
las estaciones están corridas, como consecuencia de su privación de
tierras, luchas, persecuciones. Los efectos se perciben en sus
conceptos y creencias más profundas. Los cuatro colores más relevantes,
azul, rojo ,amarillo, verde, son los que integran su bandera. Sin
embargo el que se destaca y ocupa mayor espacio es el rojo. Es el río
teñido de sangre, por los ancestros, por los guerreros, muertos en su
lucha, personas buenas, representadas por "El Pillán" que simboliza al
espíritu bueno.
Bajo sus pies, están las raíces, sus raíces en la tierra. (tiene una aplicación de arcilla)
Es
parte de mi modesta forma de expresar mis sentimientos de comprensión,
de solidaridad, de reconocimiento por mi pueblo, por mis propias raíces,
como chilena.
Si
bien me apropio de sus símbolos, no me adueño de su técnicas
artísticas, ni intento copiarlas, por respeto a esta maravillosa cultura
originaria y por respeto a mi propia realidad.

"Good
spirits are sodden on the river that has been stained of pain. The
Kultrún has changed their stations, but the forest and the sun still
belong to them."
This painting shows the Mapuche Kultrun shifted in content; the
stations have changed because of deprivation of land, struggles, and
persecutions. The effects are seen in their deepest beliefs and
concepts. The four most relevant colors, blue, red, yellow, green, are
from the flag. Red is occupying more space, because the river is stained
with blood, the ancestors, warriors, killed in their struggle. Good
people, represented by "The Pillán " which symbolizes the good spirit.
Underfoot, the roots in the earth. (It is an application of clay)
It's part of my modest way of expressing my feelings of understanding,
solidarity, recognize, to my people, my own roots, of Chile.
While I make an appropriation of their symbols, I have not taking
they artistic techniques, I do not try to copy his work, out of respect
for this wonderful original culture and respect for my own reality.
